EPNS Congress 2025 – European Paediatric Neurology Society – 8 julio 2025

Resumen

The EPNS Congress 2025, organized by the European Paediatric Neurology Society, will take place from July 8 to 12, 2025, in Munich, Germany. This international event gathers leading experts in paediatric neurology to discuss recent advances in diagnosis, treatment, basic research, and new technologies applied to neurological disorders in children. The scientific program is structured into three main themes: ACUTE (acute conditions), CHRONIC (chronic diseases), and BRAIN, HEALTH & SCIENCE. Key topics include pediatric stroke, acute movement disorders, migraine, prolonged epilepsy, gene therapy, antisense oligonucleotides (ASO), neuroimaging, and brain malformations. Chronic diseases will cover neurological rehabilitation, functional movement disorders, cerebral palsy, and neuroimmunology (encephalopathies, CSF diagnostics, demyelinating diseases). Sessions will also present advances in congenital myopathies, dystrophies like Duchenne, and innovative therapies in genetic neurology. Morning teaching sessions address: neurometabolic disorders, infantile epileptic spasms, ethics in paediatric neurology, palliative care, fetal and neonatal neurology, and the impact of climate change on neurological diseases. Clinical video sessions will focus on epilepsy and movement disorders. The congress will feature keynote lectures on genetics and neurodevelopment, encephalitis, neurodegeneration, long COVID, international registries (such as TOSCA for tuberous sclerosis), as well as debates on transitions in epileptology and controversies in neuroinfections. More than 60 international experts from Germany, France, UK, USA, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, Italy, India, Australia, and more will present, including Carsten Bönnemann (USA), Patricia Pozo-Rosich (Spain), and Sameer Zuberi (UK). Accepted scientific abstracts are organized into 20 thematic areas, including epilepsy (diagnosis and treatment), neurogenetics, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular disorders, child neuropsychiatry, neuro-oncology, palliative care, neurological emergencies, and climate change and brain health. The congress aims to strengthen continuing medical education, facilitate international networking, and prepare professionals for the clinical and therapeutic challenges of modern paediatric neurology, with special attention to personalized medicine and gene therapies.
